My stay at Lantern Hotel was quite the mixed bag. While the location in the heart of Chinatown is a huge plus, I found the comfort and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The free breakfast and functional Wi-Fi were nice touches, but the lack of basic amenities really hit hard.
Rooms

I stayed in Room 317, which had two twin beds and a window. The design was unique, but the room felt cramped and the walls were super thin, making it hard to get a good night's sleep.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss. I faced some issues when trying to check in because no one was at the front desk to assist. I had to make several calls just to get access to my room. Not a great experience.
Location

The hotel is right in the middle of Chinatown, which is fantastic. Close to the Pasar Seni Station and plenty of 24-hour eateries around, I loved the convenience of it all.
Dining

The free breakfast was decent, served from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. I appreciated the espresso option, but a bit more variety would have been nice.
Facilities
5.0
Aside from a water dispenser on the 2nd floor, the amenities were pretty minimal. I really missed having shampoo and conditioner in my room, and housekeeping didn't seem to be very thorough either.

I stayed at Lantern Hotel for three nights, drawn in by its excellent location in the heart of Chinatown. The hotel has plenty of charm and I appreciated the free water dispenser and breakfast options. However, the lack of amenities like shampoo and the issues with the window and wifi detracted from the overall experience.
Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a Queen Room with a window, but it felt quite cramped. The curtains didn't do a good job of blocking the view from the outside, which was awkward, especially with the A/C running.
Service
5.0
The reception staff was friendly, but often it was just one person handling everything. This caused some delays, and there were times when I struggled to reach anyone for help, especially when trying to get back into the hotel late at night.
Location

The location is fantastic! It's right in the middle of all the action in Chinatown, with plenty of restaurants and markets just a short walk away.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was included and had decent options considering the price. I also enjoyed the open terrace with a nice view of the bustling market.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacked some facilities I expected, such as a working lift and better toiletries. The only amenities were toilet paper, towels, and hand soap.

My stay at the Lantern Hotel in the heart of Chinatown was quite the experience. The location was fantastic for exploring local restaurants and street food. However, the room's amenities were minimal, and I encountered some service hiccups.

I stayed in Room 317, which had two twin beds and a window. While it was clean, it felt a bit cramped with no desk or counter for my belongings. The curtain didn't provide much privacy when the A/C was running, which was concerning.
Service

Communication was tricky during my stay. There was no one at the front desk during certain hours, making it difficult to get assistance when I needed it. I experienced some delays, especially when trying to make contact for help.
Location

The hotel's location is a major draw. Nestled in busy Chinatown, it's conveniently close to the Pasar Seni Station and offers easy access to vibrant markets and eateries open 24 hours. I loved being right in the midst of the action.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was available from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, which was great, but I found it limited. While there was a free water dispenser, I had hoped for more variety in the dining options nearby.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic. I found the lack of common amenities like shampoo and conditioner surprising. The lift was out of service during my visit, which required a bit more walking than anticipated.

I stayed in Room 317, a Twin Beds Room with a window, and while the location in Chinatown was fantastic with easy access to food and sights, I found the amenities lacking. The bathroom only provided basic supplies, the curtains were poorly secured, and it felt a bit cramped. Overall, it's a decent place for a short stay if you prioritize location over comfort.
Rooms

The room was well-designed but quite small, and I had issues with the curtains blowing around while the A/C was on. Basic amenities left me wanting more.
Service

Though the reception staff was friendly, there was often just one person at the front desk, which made it feel unattended at times.

I really liked the hotel’s location in the heart of Chinatown, right near the bustling Jalan Petaling market and plenty of food options.

I appreciated the free breakfast provided each morning and the water dispenser on my floor was a nice touch, but I wished for more dining options on-site.

The hotel had a minimalist design, but I found the lack of small details such as shampoo and a place to put my belongings inconvenient.

My stay at Lantern Hotel was a mixed bag. The location in the heart of Chinatown was fantastic, providing easy access to food and attractions. However, the amenities were lacking, and the room comfort could have been better due to issues with privacy and equipment.

I stayed in a 2 Twin Beds Room with a window, but it was a bit cramped. The decor was nice, yet the bamboo towel rack kept falling, and the curtain setup left me exposed whenever the A/C was on.
Service

While the reception staff was friendly, there were times when the front desk was empty, making it hard to get assistance. I also faced a frustrating situation getting back into the hotel late at night when the front desk wasn't answering calls.

The location couldn't be better, right in the bustling street of Chinatown, making it easy to find great food and nearby attractions. Plus, it was conveniently close to Pasar Seni Station for transport.
Dining

I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was served on the lovely open terrace. It had a nice selection, along with some real coffee to start my day.
Facilities

The facilities were basic, with only essential items provided in the room. The Wi-Fi worked well for me, but the lift was out of order, which made moving luggage a bit of a hassle.
